There are a set of eligibility requirements that are mentioned by the conducting body in the official notification which need to be fulfilled by every applicant if they want to apply for the exam.

Age: Candidates above 18 years and below 30 years can apply for the exam

Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India, subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

IBPS RRB PO Exam Pattern And Syllabus

The Exam Pattern for IBPS RRB PO consists of the following stages:

  1. Prelims Stage
  2. Mains Stage
  3. Interview Phase

Candidates must pass each stage in order to move on to the next stage. The exam pattern of each stage is discussed in great detail below.

The IBPS RRB PO prelims is only qualifying in nature and the marks scored in this phase of the examination are not included in the final merit of the candidates. Those who qualify the prelims are shortlisted for the mains and those who qualify mains are further shortlisted for Interview.

Interview Phase for IBPS RRB PO

The marks for the interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview for Probationary Officers will be as per extant guidelines. Only by qualifying both in the Online Examination (Main/Single) and Common Interview with sufficiently high marks will candidates be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process.

IBPS RRB PO Result

The IBPS RRB PO result will be declared after preparing a merit list of all the qualified candidates and will be issued as a list of candidates who will be given provisional allotment. The provisional allotment is confirmed once the candidate clears background verification.

The tentative date for the final declaration of results 2020 of IBPS RRB PO is January 2021. The results are declared in the form of a scorecard as well as a list of candidates provisionally allocated an RRB Branch. The location of the posting may either depend on the preference and the final merit list of the candidates.
